Below the mountains high,
A river meanders by,
Through the rocks and trees,
The water flows and seeps.
It shimmers in the sun,
Winding, passing one,
Bringing life and joy,
To the birds and the boy.
It carries a song,
Melodious and long,
Through the valleys and hills,
Its secrets it spills.
The river so peaceful,
Coursing through the west,
Providing a haven,
For life to rest.
Below the mountains high,
Tangled in webs of my own making,
Stagnant I sit, in my despair.
My ego out of control,
The death march led by fear.
My judgement clouded by my perceived might,
My pride changed everything in sight.
The echoes my former failures,
Surrounded by a fog so thick.
I thought I was invincible,
But I was just blind.
My life a casualty of
My unchecked vanity and my fragile and shallow mind.
Left in the wake, a victim of woe,
It was too late before I even knew,
My ego had taken control of me,
My healing only a distant dream come true.
Time moves ever so slow
Like a dying waterfall
What may feel like a lifetime
Will someday pass into nothing at all
It’s ticking, counting down
A relentless beat in the night
And as the days slip away
We accept nothing is set in stone, and we must take life as it comes
Though the time lost may never come back
It’s still worth living in the precious moments we have
We can’t turn back the hands of fate
But we can still make the best of the life we create
So never wish away the days
For time is a thing that can’t be escaped
It will move and change, but at least we know
It’s only a matter of time.acceptance, adaptability, change, changing, creation, days, disappearing, escaping, falling, fate, fleeting, flexibility, Flow, future, growth, hands of fate, hope, inevitable, irreplaceable, knowing, life, lost, making the best, making the most of it, moments, moving, night, passing, poem, poems, Poetry, possibility, Precious, present, relentless, savoring, slipping away, stone, Time, turning back, uncertainty, unknown, water, waterfall, wishing away
Two hearts beating as one,
Each other’s life to them devoted
An invisible string that will never part,
The love shared between two of the same heart.
He holds her close in his arms,
No matter what anyone else might think or say.
He feels safe and secure when with her,
Nothing can take away what they share all day.
A love divine, a love so pure,
It inspires and gives joy for sure.
The love of two souls that knows no gender,
It has no limit, it shall last forever.
United in sacred harmony,
Their bond grows stronger each passing day.
The embrace of love between two gay hearts,
Is something that no one can ever take apart.
A war of wills, a battle of might
Two opposing forces seek to fight
Strength against strength, wits outwit
No bar on spending, extreme care won’t quit
The war of wills, they fight relentless
Neither will succumb, unwilling to relent
Busy minds come together, heart strings come loose
Resolution unclear, a decision will ensue
The battle forces haste and more power
The collateral of innocent lives turned sour
Eager to win and the cost be seen
Victory beckons, at what cost been
The war of wills was fought fiercely
Passionate hearts wax lonely
In despair and sorrow, the battle was done
Honor lost, the war of wills won.
As the clock chimes twelve, striking midday
It falls from the sky in a silent array
The peaceful sound of silent confetti
Fills the world with its own beauty
It’s captivating as it drifts and sways
On the breeze like tiny moths of grey
Watching its splendour, standing in awe
This quiet wonder, on us, God bestowed
When life stops for a moment, just to rejoice
The low silence of the falling voice
In that moment, just take a pause
In the peacefulness of silent confetti’s cause
It is a reminder to enjoy blissful serenity
In the moment of pure, tranquil harmony
Regardless of what the future may bring
At least in this moment, silent confetti rings.
Caught in two worlds, the space between
Where light and dark reside but not seen
A place of disconnect from reality
Where the inner me is hiding silently
Present yet apart, trenched deep within
Contradictions arise, where sorrow begins
Laying submerged in confusion and strife
Despair besieged, I’m sinking in my life
My desperation builds to the point of pain
I sense the toll as I bear the strain
The loneliness of the two worlds I keep
Where I evoke these future and past dreams
Clinging to a hope that I’ll soon break free
I battle this internal war fiercely
Rising up within me a sense of truth
That I can find redemption, redemption from my youth
Her eyes, a beguiling abyss,
Her curves, a sensual seascape,
Her lips, a vermillion bloom,
Her touch, a silent storm’s gentle swoon,
Her voice, a nocturne’s softest tune,
A siren’s call where I surrender,
A dance that sets my spirit free.
A kiss that leaves me yearning, weak,
A pledge that my heart now seeks,
A fragrance that my soul remembers.
She’s a tempest in her tranquility,
She’s an allure in her mystery,
She’s a temptation I can’t withstand,
She’s a fervor I can’t comprehend,
She’s a passion I’ll forever withstand.
A passion that I can’t refuse,
A desire that’s hard to ignore,
A fervor that’s hard to resist,
A fire that’s lit and won’t subside,
A passion that I’ll forever pursue.
In her eyes, I’ve found my muse,
In her touch, I’ve found my solace,
In her voice, I’ve found my peace,
In her kiss, I’ve found my release,
In her, I’ve found my endless oasis.
People who only care about themselves,
They show little interest in someone else.
No thought for how others may feel,
What a selfish and narrow view they conceal.
Their concerns revolve only around their own life,
No struggle outside themselves to strive.
A ‘Me, Myself and I’ mentality,
Where others don’t really matter in the slightest degree.
Though they may seem happy and content,
I wonder if this is really well spent?
These people may think they are on cloud nine,
But really they need more space to shine.
In the end true happiness does not come this way,
If we only care about ourselves, it’s not okay.
We must give others our attention and care,
Spreading love, and happiness everywhere.
Desperate scream, so loud and harsh
Begging for help, an inner-torch
Icy fingers clutching at my heart
Pain and darkness, a broken dart
No hope in sight, no one can hear me
I’m all alone, pain so eerie
Who can I turn to, in my darkest hour
Taking over, all the dark devours
The desperation heard in my screams
In the darkness, a light beam
Gone is the despair, from deep inside
Now I have hope, so I can survive.
A rose petal glides and descends along your skin like a secret kiss lost to the breeze
A vow leaps across the span of time murmured in instants of bliss like lightning shattering dreams like the throbbing hunger and feral screams
Words like snow dissolve and grow like crystals in obscure spaces of where, I don’t know
In the mist of the night, a whisper stirs a flame
The burn of what was passed to us remain
Coming forward to sing this familiar song
Going back around the flame, to where it all begun
A tradition reborn, crying within our hearts
Oh, the tales so divine, we still remember our parts
The days we’ve brought and the days that will come
We can look back, to it and know it’s not yet done
A bond built in wisdom, a bond made of life
A strength true and pure, mended through a strife
It echoes in each of our souls with a whisper of a song
Our tradition reborn, is where we stand strong
So looking to our past, and what the future holds

Common sense it free,
Not handed out it be,
But yet so rare and few,
To have and hold is true,
It is here and there,
It can be given with a stare,
It shows up in the mildest chatter,
In our own lives is no matter,
But with it our world can be explored,
Common sense it does bring,
And cannot be taken with a sting.
We can learn so much,
And with it keep in touch,
It can guide,
Us all inside,
So wise and oh so wise,
Using common sense is no surprise,
A simple truth we must understand,
Common sense does have a hand.
My heavy heart aches and sighs,
A burden I feel all the time.
No one can bear the same burden,
Its weight too great for any to climb.
One can feel a heavy heart,
As if weighed down on the inside.
No one can free it of its load,
And speaking is hard to abide.
My heavy heart wears its shame,
Unable to fly the skies above.
Forging its own path blindly,
Only the intense emotion to love.
So, if you can hear myheavy heart,
Give it the love it never found.
Let its emotions be the key,
Freeing it from its chains and binds.
Doubt can be an enemy,
That will plague your mind like a disease,
It can creep up on you without warning,
And aggravate and irritate with ease.
It can crush your hopes and bury your dreams
Squashing your efforts without relent,
It can make the smallest triumph feel insignificant
And leave you feeling discouraged and spent.
But hidden inside doubt lies a jewel,
On its surface dark yet within gleams a light,
It may be hard to spot and access,
But with effort it can be brought to sight.
Doubt can drive you to be more diligent,
More picky and more precise in your work,
It can spur you on to new highs
And push you to do the impossible with a jerk.
So never let doubt defeat you,
It should never make you feel low,
Use its fuel to drive you forwards

Two camps. Two tribes.
Different views in their minds,
Tall walls they built around themselves,
Bitterly keeping the other out, all the time.
One camp, red and hot,
The other camp, blue and cold,
Evolved into two mires,
Each unable to see the other, nor be told.
Rigidity of minds, bias that plagues,
Making real conversations, a thing from the past,
Truth now sounds only like a foreign tongue,
Differences outwardly, manifest so fast.
Gone are sense and reason,
Replaced by simplicity,
As people align and compartmentalize,
Comments made in sensational lies.
Compromise forgotten, obscured,
Where is the middle? Out of reach,
Lies and deceits, manipulation,
Now fill the air, cloud the beach.
They’ve drifted apart, though, they exist,
One side the mirror image of the other,
They both striving for their best desires,
Politically polarized forever.
A woman hiking off to explore,
A sight so mesmerizing to adore.
Feet crushing the ground as she steps,
The fresh air, so captivating and pleas’.
The mountains stretch so far and wide,
Ensuring an adventure far and wide.
A cabin far off the beaten path,
Providing the perfect breather to have.
A bird’s voice so gentle and serene,
Caressing a heart so clean.
A sunset over the horizon so close,
Seeing it, she felt her soul glow.
The chirping of crickets and the mighty flow,
Of a river filled with nowhere to go.
A moment of peace before she turns around,
Back to the city, with a new found.
No one else could ever know
Since I’m the one who’s travelled
This lonely and winding road
I never spoke my pains aloud
Or wear my struggles and sorrows like a cape
Instead I stayed silent, as I’d been taught
Fearing I’d fail to measure up
No one else could ever feel
The joys of discovery and surprise
The moments when I’d come alive
Or soaring high, not just dreaming of the sky
No one else could understand
The sorrows, the fears, the victories, and the tears
Of forging ahead despite the world’s doubts
On this path of a thousand miles
No one else, but me alone
Could perfect such precious moments in time

As the dawn breaks, a soft light appears,
Painting the sky with hues of hope and fears.
Pink and orange, a tapestry weaves,
In the gentle embrace of morning’s leaves.
The world, a stage, awakens to the show,
A new day dawns, a chance to grow.
The birds, the choir, their morning song sing,
In the arms of morning, all the world seems to cling.
The clouds, the dancers, in the sky’s vast hall,
Weave their way through the morning’s gentle pall.
Shapes and shadows, a fleeting delight,
In the morning’s gentle embrace, take flight.
The horizon, a ribbon, stretches wide and far,
A canvas splattered with colors that dare.
As hopeful skies usher in a new day’s birth,
We’re reminded of life’s beauty, our hearts filled with mirth.

Rushing through the glass doors,
A wave of thrill so keen
A rush of euphoria,
Rushing through me like a stream.
Lost in everything,
A blur of sounds and sight
A feeling so consuming,
Overwhelming me with delight.
The pleasure is intense,
This elation so pure
This is a sensational feeling,
I can’t help but endure.
A swirl of emotion
Held inside for so long
Breaking free at last,
There is no right or wrong.
It’s such a powerful moment,
For me it will remain
A sudden rush of euphoria
Time can never contain.
I call it mine. Through sorrow and toward action, None in this world define.
To grow like a seed,
To grow like a wave.
I stand from where I sit,
My past, a silent cave.
You call it distraction,
I call it mine.
Despite the pain and abstractions,
Forward steps take me to shine.
My hope it sings from deep within,
A wholesome melody of relieve.
Discovering joy and joyousness,
A place of greatness I will achieve.
A moment’s vast delight
Can fill an entire night
Though minutes do create,
The most profoundly deep fate
A moment passes by swiftly,
leaving a lasting gift
Letting us know all is alright
so there’s no need to shift
Like a thousand grains of sand,
a moment turns to hour
We may fully embrace careful plans,
but what of the critical power
It’s the delicate minute that stands,
The light just starts to glimmer
Let us learn now to love and understand
This most fleeting of timbers
Am I still there?
My presence uncertain
slipping dream after dream
Nodding in and out of reality
Not quite Zach Braff
Am I still there?
My image fading fast
What did I leave behind?
Was this life meant to last?
Am I still there?
A spirit tethered to the past
Once vibrant and alive
Now, a solemn quiet cast
Am I still there?
A memory on the edge of myth
Conscience blurred by time
Did I ever truly exist?
In the valley of victory, where the sweet scent soars,
Tears of triumph mingle with the morning dew.
They are the silent confetti, the unsung applause,
A symphony of emotions, a heart’s euphoria.
They fall like gentle rain, from eyes that have seen,
The long and winding road, the battles won and the dreams.
In the soft embrace of success, they find their release,
A testament to the journey, the soul’s elation.
They are the warriors’ medals, the silent victory cry,

They speak of the struggles, the setbacks, the fight,
In every tear, a story, a testament to the light.
They are the pearls of joy, in the oyster of the soul,
A treasure of the spirit, a journey’s soulful goal.
In the chorus of cheers, they are the quiet refrain,

The chances that I run into you like red wine.

That I could run into you soon and cross the line.

I find myself seeking for a resolution.
My rationality dwindling rapidly,
I’m bereft of any emotion.
My heart too shattered to repair,

The extent of agony I contend.
I can’t avert the anguish,
It’s embedded too profound within.

In the realm of slumber, where minds wander free,
Dancing with the stars, beyond the Milky Way,
Potential dreams, they’re limitless, you see,
A universe within, waiting to play.
They rise like bubbles in a stream of thought,
Unseen, until the mind’s eye shines a light,
Each one a world, a story, a sought,
A fragment of the future, bright and brite.
From the cradle to the grave, they follow close,
A silent companion on life’s grand tour,
Dormant seeds, with power in their prose,
To sprout and grow, with dreams as the cure.
They whisper to the heart, with gentle grace,
Of love that’s pure, of friendship’s warm embrace,

Believing in me I have disregard,

In the arena of the mind, where thoughts do spar,
A game changer emerges, a silent gladiator.
Within the coliseum of the everyday,
It strides, unnoticed, in its own grand way.
It’s not a sword or shield, nor armor bright,
Nor a roar that shakes the foundations of night,
It’s a whisper, soft, with a subtle might,
That shifts the balance, alters the fight.
It’s an idea, pure, with the power to mend,
A broken system, a fractured trend,
It’s the light that shines, where darkness ends,
A catalyst for change, without pretense.
It’s the stroke of genius, in the nick of time,
A solution, simple, yet sublime,
It’s the heartbeat of innovation, the prime,
Driver of progress, in its prime.
It’s the underdog, with an unexpected bite,
That turns the tide, with a single fight,
It’s the quiet force, with a revolutionary might,
That redefines the game, with a single light.
It’s the unsung hero, the silent knight,
That rides in, when the odds are all wrong,
It’s the spark that ignites, in the dead of night,
A game changer, pure, in its unspoken might.
So let us honor, in our hearts and deeds,
The game changers, the world’s unseen seeds,
For they hold the power to upend the reeds,
And lead us forth, into a brighter feed.
Profound pain abides in my heart
For it has seized my soul from the start
Immeasurable surges of injurious thoughts
That are omnipresent, never caught
Each night I sit and contemplate why
Why me, why do I have to sigh
Despair submerges me with each fleeting hour
For sorrow’s potency has grown in power
How I yearn the pain away
But lamentably, into obscurity I sway
So I accept my load of profound pain
And hope perpetual bliss will remain
In my arms I gathered you,
And in my heart I held you true,
A warmth that could never be,
My love for you forever bold and free.
In my arms you spent the night,
Your frame in perfect surrender to my might,
Your hands so soft and gentle, never slow,
Instantaneously I knew I’d never let you go.
In my embrace I felt your fears,
Your trembling sighs no more to hear,
My arms I opened wide,
Oh, I never wanted that hug to subside.
In my arms I held the future,
The glowing spark from both of us to nurture,
A kind of love yet unseen before,
An eternal bond with me, and you, and more.
In my arms I found you here,
Entwined in passion so sincere,
Gazing into eyes, so much in love,
Promising forevermore, from Heaven above.
Morning breaks, the sea’s calm, the waves have settled,
No more boiling over, the kettle’s unbent.
Life’s trials and tribulations, a never-ending trial,
Judge and jury, they’ve taken your smile.
Miles of road, a journey through tribulations,
Dark thoughts arise, heavy with ideations.
Depression, a beast with a pitchfork and horns,
Genetic affliction, a burden from birth’s morn.
Scarlet letters, unseen by the world’s eyes,
Branded on the mind, a silent Greek fraternity’s cries.
Stepping on joy, a dance to a somber beat,
But perseverance wins, not defeat.

The real world fades away
Unfolding a world of new stories

The pages keep turning, secrets are revealed,
A new place to find, and venturing’s concealed.
Deeper I go until my brain’s full,
Enthralled by the tales and the characters’ pull.

A painter’s heart holds so many shades,
So many stories, and secrets they made.
Colors that swirl in a chaotic bliss,
Mixing blues and yellows together in a vivid kiss.
Purple swirls show courage, and green beauty,
Highlighting the pain of being so truly free.
And yellow seeps through to lighten the despair,
Creating a masterpiece with beauty to share.
Red glittering accents offer chained emotions,
A hint of hope, amidst the deep oceans.
The brush moves, capturing all the wild lies,
Every emotion, up to the painter’s surprise.
A canvas to tell tales that will never be understood
The true purpose of the painters’ hearts so good.
Your tones warm and embracing
Your words comforting and appeasing
Your presence kind and releasing
Thank you, for listening
Your ear always gives and never takes
You hear me, exhausted and heartbroken yet you care
This never ending weight forever in my heart you spare
Thank you, for listening
Your help, so quietly sustaining
Your understanding, void of feigning
Your love I find so wondrously sustaining
Thank you, for listening
You hurt me, a simple phrase,
Yet it rings through the corridors of my soul,
An echo that grows, a wound that won’t close.
In the silence of the night,
Your words return, a ghostly bite,
Marking me with a sting that’s out of sight.
The wound within, unseen to the eye,
Bleeds a river of sorrow and sighs,
A testament to the pain that you caused to fly.
I wear the scars of your careless words,
A battleground of the heart, undisclosed,
A secret garden of hurt, untold.
The echo of your hurtful deed,
Finds me in my solitude, indeed,
A constant reminder of what I dare not speak.
In the quiet of my mind’s eye,
Your voice recedes, but the pain won’t die,
A painful echo, a lullaby of lies.
