Though the page is turned, the pen is down
The words may fade, the characters may go
But the story lives on in the mind

The reader takes the story with them
To places they’ve never been before
To meet people they’ve never known
To experience things they’ve never felt

The story becomes part of them
It shapes their thoughts, their feelings, their dreams
It gives them something to hold on to
When the world seems dark and cold

So a story is never over
It’s always there, waiting to be told
To be read, to be shared, to be loved
To be passed on from one person to another

So let’s keep telling stories
Let’s keep the magic alive
Let’s keep the world dreaming
