As human populations continue to grow
Natural resources continue to be
Depleted.
The water supply shrinks
And agricultural conditions
Get worse.
So,
Divisions arise
On racial, ethnic, tribal
And religious sectarian lines.
These are labels we were born with
But have very little to do
With our ethics
Or our subsequent choices
In life.
Under so much stress,
Due to SCARCITY
We, humans,
Can‘t help but become factional.
Isn‘t it time
That we examine
Our relationship to the Earth
As well as our attitudes
Toward Sexuality?
Why do we still feel compelled
To “be fruitful and multiply“
When our resource base
Is shrinking?
Why can‘t we simply
Enjoy and appreciate Sexuality
Without feeling the urge
To put more and more
Unwanted children
On this Earth?
