Your grumpy face in the mornings,
Is like a stormy sky without warnings.
Your eyes all puffy and red,
As if you just woke up from the dead.
I try to cheer you up with a smile,
But it seems to take a while.
You sip your coffee, still half-asleep,
And I wonder if you’ll ever be complete.
But as the day goes on, you start to glow,
And your grumpiness starts to go.
So I’ll wait patiently for tomorrow’s dawn,
And hope that your grumpy mood is gone.
