Heavy Rains Soaked Me to the Bone
Heavy rains soaked me to the bone,
As I stood and shivered all alone.
The drops drummed down, dousing my dress,
Drenching my hair, in a deluge distress.
I dared to dance in the downpour’s domain,
Defying the damp, drenched but not drained.
Drenched and dripping, dazed but not done,
I was a rain-ravaged, but resilient one.
