In the dark somewhere, I’ve lost my way,
And fear grips me, with no light of day,
I wander alone, with no end in sight,
Hoping for a glimmer, to guide me right.

My heart pounds fast, and my breath is short,
As I search for a way, out of this port,
But every turn, leads me astray,
And despair sets in, with every dark ray.

Yet still I press on, with hope in my heart,
That soon I’ll find, a way to depart,
From this endless night, that’s swallowed me whole,
And find the light, and regain control.

And though the darkness may seem so vast,
I know that hope will come at last,
And guide me out, to brighter days,
Where light will shine, and fears will fade away.
