Small Talk on a Long Road

The scenery outside was breathtaking
Mountains, valleys, and rivers in sight
The sun was setting, painting the sky
With hues of orange, pink, and purple so bright

I turned on some music, sang along
Feeling the rhythm, tapping my feet
The road was long, but I didn’t mind
As long as I had this moment so sweet

The car kept moving, the night grew dark
But the stars above shone like diamonds in the sky
I felt so small, yet so alive
In this vast universe, I was just a passerby

As the journey continued, I felt at peace
With myself, with the world, with everything
Small talk on a long road, what a gift
To be able to enjoy life’s simple things.
