The Long Road Trip

Small talk on a long road trip,
Miles to go, time to slip,
Into stories of days gone by,
Underneath the endless sky.

The engine hums a steady beat,
As we move on with tired feet,
Passing towns and fields of green,
A journey like we’ve never seen.

The radio plays a favorite tune,
As we drive beneath the moon,
The stars above, a shining guide,
On this journey, we’ll abide.

We stop for gas and stretch our legs,
And chat with locals and their pets,
Then back on the road we go,
To see what lies ahead, you know.

Small talk on a long road trip,
A journey that will never slip,
From our memories, it will stay,
Forever and a day.
