The new dress is clean and wet to preen
wayside towns and villages covered in green
garbage dumps lolling by the roadside
strewn plastic bags and flying discarded paper 
covered by tall grass and leafy flora
laughing at the cloud hid sunlight 
the scorcher heater and burner bright
drying up the life blood in their veins
shriveling and crumbling into dust grain
mixed with the arid earth and blown 
through the hot months of dry dust flown 
still some months beyond autumn and winter
the unstoppable rains have left behind a dossier 
of pretty deep green verdant monsoon cover
