• Below the mountains high

  Below the mountains high,
  A river meanders by,
  Through the rocks and trees,
  The water flows and seeps.
  
  It shimmers in the sun,
  Winding, passing one,
  Bringing life and joy,
  To the birds and the boy.
  
  It carries a song,
  Melodious and long,
  Through the valleys and hills,
  Its secrets it spills.
  
  The river so peaceful,
  Coursing through the west,
  Providing a haven,
  For life to rest.

• Cure for Love

  

  I’ve been wounded so frequently,
  I find myself seeking for a resolution.
  My rationality dwindling rapidly,
  I’m bereft of any emotion.
  
  My heart too shattered to repair,
  These scars will never mend.
  No one can truly fathom,
  The extent of agony I contend.
  
  I can’t avert the anguish,
  It’s embedded too profound within.
  My spirit can no longer sustain,
  Soliciting aid is my sole win.
  
  Abandon me to perish with a myriad of maladies,
  But reveal to me the remedy for love.
  Instructing me how wholesome love prevails,
  It’s something that only the skies above.
  
  The love that vanquishes pain and dread,
  The hope that can heal all ills.
  I need a novel voyage I can navigate,
  To educate weariness and sorrow all it can’t and wills.
  
  Until then I linger in obscurity,
  My love barely clinging on.
  The only thing that can liberate me I suppose,
  Is a cure which I anticipate will come along.

• A Letter to the Forgotten

  To those who have been forgotten,
  To those who have been cast aside,
  To those who have been left behind,
  This letter is for you.

  I know that you feel alone,
  I know that you feel lost,
  I know that you feel forgotten,
  But I want you to know that you are not.

  You are loved,
  You are important,
  You are worthy,
  And you are not alone.

  I know that it is hard to believe,
  When the world seems to have forgotten you,
  But I want you to know that I see you.

  I see your pain,
  I see your hurt,
  I see your loneliness,
  And I want you to know that I care.

  I am here for you,
  I will not forget you,
  And I will never leave you.

  So please, do not give up hope,
  Do not give in to the darkness,
  Do not let the world forget you.

  I am here for you,
  And I will never forget you.
