Who am I to judge the way you act
The choices you make with no regard
The message it sends to the world around
Who am I to judge that sound
Who am I to dictate what’s right
Like opinions written for a fight
The answers to life are never clear
Who am I to judge what you hear
Who am I to pass on your creed
The standards you live and the way you succeed
The path you take along this ride
Who am I to judge that side
Who am I to say this or that
The truth that we’re searching, the choice we must make
The life that’s been handed in front of our eye’s
Who am I to judge the prize?

The Weight of Responsibility
In this world, one person, indeed,
Can hold the key to gain or loss, to succeed.
Their words, their actions, big or small,
Can lift us up, or make us fall.A teacher’s guidance, wise and kind,
Can open minds and hearts, we find.
A friend’s support, a lover’s care,
Can give us strength beyond compare. But words can wound, and deeds can harm,
And leave us scarred and filled with alarm.
A bully’s taunts, a tyrant’s reign,
Can leave us broken, filled with pain.So let us choose our words with care,
And let our actions be fair.
For each of us has the power to bless,
Or cause another’s deep distress. In this world, one person, indeed,
Can hold the key to gain or loss, to succeed.
So let us use our gifts with grace,
To build each other up, and light the way.

The Only Path Forward
To move on from her is the only path forward I can take,
But my heart is shattered, it’s a choice it cannot make.
I try to forget her, to push her out of my mind,
But memories of her linger, they’re difficult to unwind. The pain of heartbreak is a burden hard to bear,
I wish I could escape it, but it’s always there.
I long for the day when I can finally be free,
To move forward, to find happiness, to just be me.

Kerala Sorrow
Blood spilt on the sacred land,
By savage men with vicious hand,
Forced conversions and brutal rape,
Women’s agony, the valley’s gape.Difficult choices they had to make,
To lose their faith or their own life’s sake,
Living in fear, in their own land,
Injustice dealt with a cruel hand.Lives destroyed, innocence lost,
Painful memories that never exhaust,
Kerala weeps, for its daughters’ plight,
In dismal darkness, fought their might.

The Cost of Relief
Choices made to get rid of the pain,
May come at a cost that’s hard to explain.
The quick fix, the easy way out,
May lead to regret, and eternal doubt. The bottle, the needle, the pill,
May offer escape, but never fulfill.
A temporary relief, a fleeting high,
Leads to addiction, and a never-ending lie.The cost of relief, often too steep,
Leaves one trapped in a cycle, unable to leap.
To a life that’s free, that’s pure and whole,
A life that’s worth living, with a fulfilling role.So choose wisely, and think it through,
The cost of relief, may not be worth the view.
The pain may linger, but it can be overcome,
With strength and courage, a new life can be won.

One life
One life. One life only, it’s all we’ve got,
Time and opportunity, they’re worth a lot.
Purpose and meaning, they’re what we seek,
Legacy and choices, they’re what we’ll leave.Regret and fulfillment, they’re two sides of a coin,
Happiness and gratitude, they’re what we’ll join.
Reflection and contemplation, they’re what we’ll do,
As we ponder the preciousness, of life so true.So make the most of it, while you still can,
For life is fleeting, like a grain of sand.
Chase your dreams, and follow your heart,
For that’s where true fulfillment, will always start.choices, Fulfillment, gratitude, happiness, legacy, life, meaning, opportunity, poem, Poetry, purpose, reflection, regret, Time

Burning Bridges
Burning Bridges
Burning bridges, a destructive act,
That leaves no way back from the impact,
It’s a finality that’s hard to ignore,
As all that’s left is an open door.It severs ties and breaks all bonds,
Leaving only regret and broken beyond,
A choice that’s made with a heavy heart,
And a price that’s paid right from the start.

Fate/destiny
Do you believe in fate/destiny?
Vishal DutiaFate/Destiny
Fate, a force that cannot be outrun,
Guiding us toward what’s already begun,
Destiny, a path we must all take,
Leading us to the choices we make.Is it predetermined or left to chance?
A question that leaves us in a trance,
But one thing we know for sure,
Fate and destiny will always endure.

First Regret of a lifetime
First Regret of a lifetime
Version 1
The first regret of a lifetime, a weight so heavy, A memory that haunts, a pain so heady, A missed opportunity, a path not taken, A choice that led to heartbreak, a heart forsaken.
The regret lingers on, a lesson hard-learned, A scar that remains, a wound that’s burned, But in the pain, there’s also growth, And a chance to heal, and find new hope.
Version 2
The first regret of a lifetime, so sharp and clear, A memory that lingers, year after year, A decision made, a path not taken, A heart that’s heavy, a spirit shaken.
But in regret, there is a lesson learned, A chance to grow, to take a different turn, For even in the darkest night, The first regret can lead to a brighter light.
