A war of wills, a battle of might
Two opposing forces seek to fight
Strength against strength, wits outwit
No bar on spending, extreme care won’t quit
The war of wills, they fight relentless
Neither will succumb, unwilling to relent
Busy minds come together, heart strings come loose
Resolution unclear, a decision will ensue
The battle forces haste and more power
The collateral of innocent lives turned sour
Eager to win and the cost be seen
Victory beckons, at what cost been
The war of wills was fought fiercely
Passionate hearts wax lonely
In despair and sorrow, the battle was done
Honor lost, the war of wills won.

Political Polarization
Two camps. Two tribes.
Different views in their minds,
Tall walls they built around themselves,
Bitterly keeping the other out, all the time.
One camp, red and hot,
The other camp, blue and cold,
Evolved into two mires,
Each unable to see the other, nor be told.
Rigidity of minds, bias that plagues,
Making real conversations, a thing from the past,
Truth now sounds only like a foreign tongue,
Differences outwardly, manifest so fast.
Gone are sense and reason,
Replaced by simplicity,
As people align and compartmentalize,
Comments made in sensational lies.
Compromise forgotten, obscured,
Where is the middle? Out of reach,
Lies and deceits, manipulation,
Now fill the air, cloud the beach.
They’ve drifted apart, though, they exist,
One side the mirror image of the other,
They both striving for their best desires,
Politically polarized forever.

Nocturnal Strife
In the dead of night, a young boy takes flight, A vampiric visage, a sinister sight. When the world’s asleep, and darkness reigns, He haunts the streets, igniting his pains.
His parents’ slumber, a veil to his crime, Their child transformed, a creature of time. A thirst for chaos, a hunger profound, In the cover of night, his victims are found.
At clubs and parties, where merriment chimes, He slashes and carves, in the name of his crimes. A twisted desire, a heart turned to coal, Leaving behind a trail of horror untold.
But within his soul, a conflict doth brew, Between light and darkness, the false and the true. A vampire slasher, a creature of strife, Trapped in the chaos of his double-edged life.
And like Peter Tosh, the rebel of old, A story untold, a truth to be bold. A struggle within, a fight to be free, From the darkness that binds, and the path he can’t see.
For the vampire slasher, in shadows he roams, A young boy lost in his twisted psychone. But redemption’s embrace, a glimmer of hope, May guide him back to the light on his scope.

The Mind and the Soul
The mind is a complex thing,
With thoughts and feelings that can swing,
From high to low, from dark to light,
It’s a mystery to all but night. The soul is a different matter,
It’s something that we can’t chatter,
It’s the essence of who we are,
It’s the reason we can feel and scar.So when the mind and soul are in conflict,
It can be a very difficult rift,
But if we can find a way to balance,
We can find true happiness and romance.

Trapped in the Wrong Body
Trapped in the Wrong Body
I feel like a stranger in my own skin
A prisoner of a body that’s not mine
A mismatch between the outside and within
A conflict that I can’t seem to alignI look at the mirror and see a lie
A reflection that does not match my soul
A disguise that I have to wear and comply
A burden that I have to bear and controlI long for a day when I can be free
A day when I can express who I am
A day when I can live authentically
A day when I can be happy and calmBut until then I have to cope and fight
To find a way to escape this plight.

The Inner Dialogue
The Inner Dialogue
Within our minds, a conversation starts,
An inner dialogue, with two different parts,
One voice speaks softly, the other’s loud,
One seeks the truth, the other’s proud,
A constant battle, a war of thought,
To find the answers, that we have sought.

A battlefield within
A battlefield within
A battlefield within, a war that never ends,
Where scars are unseen, but still, the heart rends.
The battle wages on, a fight for inner peace,
And all that’s left is the hope for the pain to cease.

The Harsh Reality of War
The Harsh Reality of War
Beneath the calmness of blue skies,
Lies the blood-soaked earth with cries.
Of mothers, children, and brave hearts,
Lost to war’s endless, hateful arts.
Tears shed for the ultimate price,
Of peace that never came to suffice.

The Cost of Conflict
The Cost of Conflict
Men’s ambitions and egos clash,
Laying waste to land and ash.
What once was whole, now shattered, broken,
Families left without a token.
The price of war, a heavy toll,
Laid bare for all to see, unroll.
