I’m laughing cause I don’t want to cry
Putting on a brave face, as I try
To hide the pain that’s deep inside
And keep the tears from falling like a tide
I’m laughing cause I don’t want to show
The hurt and sadness, that’s eating me slow
I’m keeping up the mask, that hides my fears
And pushing through the pain, with all my gears
But deep down inside, I know it’s true
That laughter can heal, and help us renew
It’s a way to cope, with the hardships of life
And find the strength, to keep up the strife
So I’ll keep on laughing, when I want to cry
And find the joy, that’s hidden in the sky
For laughter is a gift, that’s ours to share
And a reminder of the good, that’s always there
I’m laughing cause I don’t want to cry
But inside I know, it’s okay to try
To let the tears fall, and release the pain
And find the hope, that’s shining like a flame.
