Two camps. Two tribes.
Different views in their minds,
Tall walls they built around themselves,
Bitterly keeping the other out, all the time.
One camp, red and hot,
The other camp, blue and cold,
Evolved into two mires,
Each unable to see the other, nor be told.
Rigidity of minds, bias that plagues,
Making real conversations, a thing from the past,
Truth now sounds only like a foreign tongue,
Differences outwardly, manifest so fast.
Gone are sense and reason,
Replaced by simplicity,
As people align and compartmentalize,
Comments made in sensational lies.
Compromise forgotten, obscured,
Where is the middle? Out of reach,
Lies and deceits, manipulation,
Now fill the air, cloud the beach.
They’ve drifted apart, though, they exist,
One side the mirror image of the other,
They both striving for their best desires,
Politically polarized forever.

The Dance of Truth and Lies
Truth and lies, a strange pair,
Walk hand-in-hand, everywhere.
Truth is pure and clear as day,
While lies are cloaked in shadows gray.Truth speaks with a voice so bold,
Lies whisper secrets, untold.
Truth is the light that guides our way,
Lies lead us astray. But oh, how often lies deceive,
And make us believe what we perceive.
They paint a picture false and fair,
And trap us in their cunning snare. So be wary of the lies you hear,
And hold truth close, my dear.
For truth is the foundation strong,
On which our lives belong. In this world of shifting sands,
Where truth and lies often join hands,
May we have courage to discern,
The truth from lies, and learn. To see the world with eyes so clear,
And banish all our doubts and fear.
For in the end, truth will prevail,
And lies will fade and fail.

The Polite Killer
A polite murderer, so charming and sweet,
Deception and manipulation, his favorite treat.
With a smile on his face, and a twinkle in his eye,
He lures in his prey, with a cunning lie.His guilt and conscience, they’re buried deep,
For the evil within him, it’s too dark to keep.
Sinister and twisted, his mind is a maze,
As he plots and plans, his next victim’s fate.Beware of the polite killer, for he’s always around,
Hiding in plain sight, without making a sound.
His charm and manipulation, they’re his greatest tool,
As he preys on the innocent, like a heartless ghoul.

It Was a Beautiful Lie
It was a beautiful lie, that you whispered in my ear,
A world of love, that I held so dear,
The promises, they flowed, with a seductive ease,
A world of deception, that you failed to appease.
The truth, it hurt, with a painful sting,
A world of betrayal, that I couldn’t bring.

Monsters in Humans
Beneath the guise of human form
Lurk monsters that can do great harm
Their actions leaving lives forlorn
Their hearts a breeding ground for scornThey prey on others for their gain
And show no mercy, cause no pain
Their morals twisted, all in vain
Their souls consumed by dark disdainThey hide behind a veil of lies
Their motives pure, or so they guise
Their words deceive, their deeds despise
And leave their victims paralyzedBut still, we strive to find the light
And keep the monsters out of sight
We fight for justice, we fight for right
And hope to make a better sight.

You Lied So Hard
You Lied So Hard
You promised the world and the stars,
But your words were empty and hollow,
You whispered sweet nothings in my ear,
But all along you had a plan to follow. You lied so hard, it hurt my heart,
You shattered my trust and my soul,
I thought we had something special,
But you played me like a fool.I gave you my love and my all,
But you took it for granted and ran,
You left me broken and alone,
With nothing but tears and pain. Now I see through your lies,
And I’m stronger for the hurt,
I’ve learned to love myself first,
And to never let someone treat me like dirt. You lied so hard, but I’m moving on,
I’m leaving the past behind,
I’ll find someone who’s true and real,
And leave you and your lies far behind.
