Extravagance, oh how it glows
A life of luxury, nobody knows
The finest things, at any cost
A life of excess, never lost
Diamonds and gold, a lavish display
A life of indulgence, day by day
But the price we pay, is often high
For extravagance can make us die
Greed and lust, at the heart of it all
As we watch our fortunes rise and fall
Extravagance may seem like a dream
But in the end, it’s not what it seems.
Fortune’s Favor
Some people say that fortune favors the bold
That those who dare to dream and act
Will find their paths paved with gold
And reap the rewards of their pact
Some people say that fortune favors the wise
That those who learn and think and plan
Will see the truth behind the lies
And avoid the pitfalls of the scam
Some people say that fortune favors the kind
That those who give and help and care
Will touch the hearts and souls and mind
And receive the blessings of the fair
Some people say that fortune favors the brave
That those who face and fight and win
Will overcome the storm and wave
And earn the glory of the kin
But I say that fortune favors the grateful
That those who appreciate and cherish and love
Will find their lives rich and fruitful
And enjoy the gifts from above
The Magical Maze
Life is a lovely labyrinth of love,
A magical maze of moments we’re blessed with.
Each step takes us further in our exploration,
Finding friends and fortunes along the way to our destination.
