What is the meaning of meaning?
I’ve searched and searched, I’m still a-dreaming,
The more I think, the more I’m losing
The meaning of that very thing.
Some say that meaning is the goal,
That we must strive to reach it whole,
But then, what is the goal of striving,
If striving is the thing we’re buying?
Is meaning something that we find,
Or something that we make up kind?
If meaning is something that we make,
Then what I make is what I take.
And if I make my meaning so,
Then meaning has no meaning, oh,
But if I find my meaning out,
Then meaning has a meaning, shout!
So meaning is a mystery,
A thing that’s hard to understand,
But if I think about it lots,
Maybe I’ll find the answer, grand.

Circle #Poetry
A circle, oh how profound,
Perfectly pointless, spinning round and round.
Pretending to progress, but going nowhere at all,
Pandering to the masses, like a puppet on a call.Pleased with itself, it repeats and repeats,
Picking up speed, like a train on its beats.
Pretentious and predictable, it thinks it’s so smart,
Puffing up its chest, playing a prideful part.Perpetually pointless, it goes on and on,
Pretending to be unique, but it’s just a con.
Painfully predictable, it circles again,
Pretending to be new, but it’s just the same old game.

Nights Are Getting Colder
Nights are getting colder, oh what a thrill,
Numbing my senses, like a bitter pill.
Nagging and niggling, the chill won’t relent,
Nursing my misery, with each breath spent.Nostalgic and naive, I long for the past,
Nursing my wounds, like a love that won’t last.
Nearing the end, the cold creeps in,
Narrowing my vision, like a fool with no win.Numb and neglected, I shiver and shake,
Nudging away comfort, with each step I take.
Nearing the bottom, I cling to my pride,
Nestled in my misery, with nowhere to hide.

I wish to forgive
I wish to forgive
I wish to forgive, but can’t forget,
The things you did, the words you said.
You hurt me so, yet here we are,
Pretending like we’ve come so far.I wish to forgive, but can’t let go,
Of all the pain that’s in my soul.
I’ll laugh and smile, and play the part,
But deep inside, you’ve left a mark.So go ahead and say you’re sorry,
But I won’t believe it, not even slightly.
I wish to forgive, but it’s too hard,
To make fun of this, would be absurd.

Just Friends
Just friends, oh what a joy,
Jovial and jolly, like a child’s toy.
Jesting and joking, with no care in sight,
Juggling our emotions, like a ball in flight.Jealousy and judgment, what could go wrong?
Jumping through hoops, and singing a sad song.
Justifying our feelings, with excuses so lame,
Jousting with our hearts, and playing a foolish game.Jaded and jinxed, we cling to our pride,
Joking and jesting, with nowhere to hide.
Just friends, oh what a lie,
Jumbling our feelings, and wondering why.aliteration, confusion, denial, Emotions, friends, friendship, game, humor, just, just friends, love, poem, Poetry, pride, sarcasm

Love Serenades
Love Serenades
Love serenades, oh how romantic,
Ridiculously overdone, like a cliche frantic.
Rhapsodizing and ruminating, with no end in sight,
Repeating the same words, with all their might.Ridiculous and repetitive, love songs abound,
Rounding up the same old tune, with each beat and sound.
Rattling on and on, like a broken record,
Resisting the urge to scream, feeling so absurd.Rotten and redundant, love serenades in the air,
Resounding in my ears, with no escape from their snare.
Reeking of desperation, and a lack of creativity,
Relying on the same old words, with no originality.absurdity, cliches, creativity, Desperation, humor, irony, love, poem, poems, Poetry, repetition, romance, sarcasm, Serenades

Toilet
Toilet
A place of relief and solitude
Where one can shed their worries and waste
A throne for the common and the noble
Where one can sit and contemplateA marvel of engineering and hygiene
Where water flushes away the dirt
A necessity for every home and scene
Where one can find comfort and comfortA source of humor and inspiration
Where jokes and ideas are born
A symbol of sanitation and civilization
Where one can appreciate the dawn

I Lie Awake at Midnight
I Lie Awake at Midnight
I lie awake at midnight, oh how peaceful,
Insomniac and irritated, like a burden so stressful.
Incessantly tossing and turning, with no end in sight,
Inevitably exhausted, with each passing night.Intrusive thoughts and ideas, they won’t let go,
Incapacitating and insidious, like a never-ending flow.
Internalizing and isolating, I’m lost in my mind,
Intensely overwhelmed, like a never-ending bind.Insecure and indecisive, I question my fate,
Intrinsically flawed, like a broken crate.
Inept and insincere, I lie to myself,
Incessantly struggling, like a book on a shelf.anxiety, awake, humor, insecurity, insomnia, introspection, irony, mental health, midnight, poem, poems, Poetry, sarcasm, stress, struggle

Sometimes I Wonder About Heart Surgeons
Sometimes I Wonder About Heart Surgeons
Sometimes I wonder about heart surgeons, oh how skilled,
Sarcastically questioning their ability to be thrilled.
Slicing and sewing, with precision and care,
Sardonically doubting their romantic affairs.Saving lives and fixing hearts, they’re heroes in white,
Skeptically wondering, do they have a love life so bright?
Seductive and suave, or just all work and no play,
Superficial or soulful, what do they have to say?Swiping left or swiping right, do they have time to date,
Skeptical and sarcastic, I ponder their fate.
Sullen and serious, or just too busy to find,
Someone to love and cherish, and keep in their mind.

Leave Everything Behind #Poetry
Leave Everything Behind
Leave everything behind, oh how freeing,
Foolishly abandoning, with no sense of being.
Fleeing from problems, like a coward in flight,
Forsaking responsibility, with all their might.Foolish and frantic, they run from the truth,
Faking a new life, like an elaborate sleuth.
Faltering and floundering, they’ll soon regret,
Forgetting what was lost, with no way to get.Feeling lost and alone, they’ll soon see,
Forsaking everything, wasn’t the way to be.
Fighting for what’s right, and facing the truth,
Finding a new way, with all their youth.absurdity, aliteration, behind, cowardice, everything, growth, humor, irony, leave, leaving, Poetry, regret, responsibility, sarcasm, truth

Ethics and Morality #Poetry
Ethics and morality
Ethics and morality, oh how divine,
Endlessly debated, like a never-ending line.
Elevated and exalted, they’re held up high,
Easily ignored, with a cynical eye.Evasive and elusive, they’re hard to define,
Eroding and erasing, like a fading outline.
Endlessly discussed, but never quite clear,
Eliciting eye rolls, with each passing year.Egomaniacal and egoistic, they’re often abused,
Endlessly debated, but seldomly used.
Empty and exaggerated, they’re often just talk,
Eliciting laughter, like a stand-up’s walk.© VishalDutia

The Twinkling of Stars
The Twinkling of Stars
The twinkling of stars, oh how magical,
Tediously repetitive, like a broken record’s signal.
Twinkling and twinkling, with no end in sight,
Tiresome and tedious, like a never-ending light.Tarnished and tired, they shine up above,
Tantalizing and teasing, like an unrequited love.
Trite and trivial, they’ve lost their charm,
Trembling and twinkling, with no sense of alarm.Tiresome and trite, they’ll never change,
Trivial and tedious, they’ll forever remain.
Tarnished and tired, they’ll soon grow old,
Trivial and trite, like a story that’s been told.© VishalDutia

A Warning
A warning
A warning, oh how ominous,
Offering up advice so preposterous.
Observe with delight, as I ignore with glee,
Only to later regret, the foolishness in me.Obnoxious and overbearing, the warning’s sound,
Offering up tales of woe, that I’ll surely drown.
Oftentimes I find, that the warning’s a bore,
Only to later discover, that I should’ve listened more.Obtuse and outdated, the warning may seem,
Only to later realize, that it was a dream.
Oh how I wish, I had listened with care,
For now I’m left, with nothing but despair.

Self-Called Gods
Self-Called Gods
They strut around like they’re divine,
Thinking they’re above the line,
Bowing down to their own reflection,
Deluding themselves with self-projection.But when the world calls their bluff,
They shrink back, unsure and gruff,
For all their power and facade,
They’re nothing but self-called gods.

Silly or Absurd Situations
Silly or Absurd Situations
In a world of seriousness and strife,
Sometimes we need a break in life,
Where things are silly and absurd,
Making us laugh until we’re blurred. From wearing pants on our heads,
To dancing with cows in our beds,
These moments remind us to be free,
And enjoy life’s absurdity.

I wonder why I was waiting
I wonder why I was waiting,
For a sign or a signal to come,
For a perfect moment to arrive,
And take me to where I belong.
For life is a journey, not a destination,
And every step counts, no matter how small,
And the only way to move forward,
Is to take a leap and risk a fall.
So I’ll stop wondering and start moving,
Embracing the unknown with open arms,
For I’d rather live a life of adventure,
Than wait for a moment that may never come.Written by VishalDutia

My heart still cried
My heart still cried when you left,
Longing for the warmth of your embrace,
Yearning for the sound of your voice,
And the comfort of your loving face.
Though time has passed and wounds have healed,
The memory of your absence lingers on,
A reminder of the love we shared,
And the pain that comes when it’s gone.
But even in the midst of all this sorrow,
I find solace in the memories we made,
And the knowledge that love still endures,
Even when distance keeps us apart and delayed.Written by VishalDutia

FAKE
Fake smiles and fake laughter,
Hiding the pain that lies beneath,
A mask we wear to shield ourselves,
From the hurt that steals our peace.
Fake friends and fake promises,
A world that’s built on deceit,
Where truth is hard to come by,
And trust is a rare, precious treat.
But though the fakeness may surround us,
And shadows may block out the light,
We can find our way to the truth,
By looking inward and shining our own bright.
For in the depths of our own hearts,
We’ll find the courage to be real,
And though the road may be rocky and hard,
We’ll find our way to a life that’s authentic and full of zeal.Fake smiles and fake laughter,
Hiding the pain that lies beneath,
A mask we wear to shield ourselves,
From the hurt that steals our peace.
But love can break down the walls we build,
And light can shine through the cracks,
For when we let our true selves show,
Our beauty and strength can’t be held back.
So let’s embrace the humor in our flaws,
And savor the sweetness of every bite,
Let’s travel the world with open hearts,
And marvel at nature’s unyielding might.
Let’s create art that reflects our souls,
And find fitness in movement and play,
Let’s seek the spiritual in the mundane,
And never stop learning and growing each day.
For in being true to who we are,
And living with intention and grace,
We’ll find the joy and peace we seek,
And make our mark in this world, a lasting trace.Written by VishalDutia

Our thoughts bring action
Our thoughts bring action, so they say,
And shape the world in which we live,
For every word and every deed,
Is born from the thoughts we choose to give.
So let us choose our thoughts with care,
And nurture those that serve us best,
For in the garden of our minds,
We plant the seeds of our success.
And though the road may be uncertain,
And the journey full of twists and turns,
Our thoughts will guide us to our destination,
And the lessons we learn will help us grow and learn.
For every action we take, big or small,
Is rooted in the thoughts we hold most dear,
And by choosing wisely, we can create a life,
That’s full of purpose, joy, and love, and free from fear.
