A rose petal glides and descends along your skin like a secret kiss lost to the breeze
A vow leaps across the span of time murmured in instants of bliss like lightning shattering dreams like the throbbing hunger and feral screams
Words like snow dissolve and grow like crystals in obscure spaces of where, I don’t know

A Secret Kiss Lost to the Breeze
-
Loss pierces deeply
The loss pierces deeply,
A dagger to the heart,
The pain lingers endlessly,
It tears us apart.
The memories that remain,
So bittersweet and sad,
The moments that were shared,
The laughs that we had.
The path of life goes on,
In ways we can not see,
The future uncertain,
The past, a mystery.
But the love that was felt,
Will never subside,
It carries us forward,
On our journey through life.

Letters Once Inked
Letters once scribed
By your hand, they won’t fade,
But my tears obscure the page.
In my sorrow and solitude,
As the day draws to a close,
Your vision haunts my mind.
I see your eyes, like pools of starlight,
Your smile, a radiant bloom.
Your touch, a gentle symphony,
Your voice, a soothing balm.
Oh, how I long to feel your embrace,
To hear your laughter in the air.
But for now, I cherish these inked memories,
A testament to our love, so rare.

Familiar Feeling
This wistful longing, deep and true,
Though known to you, it feels anew.
A poignant tugging on your heart,
A distant echo, yet a piercing art.
You call it by a different name,
But its essence remains the same.
A yearning for what once was lost,
A love that lingers, at any cost.
Is it nostalgia, bittersweet and tender,
Or longing, a flame that burns forever?
Perhaps it’s both, a bittersweet refrain,
A testament to love, despite the pain.
Whatever its name, this feeling so real,
Is a reminder of love’s enduring zeal.alliteration, Bittersweet, enduring, essence, familiar feeling, longing, loss, love, memory, nostalgia, pain, poem, poems, Poetry, poignant, reflection, refrain, reminiscence, wistful, Zeal

The last drop
The last drops of rain fell from the sky
As I watched you walk away, without a goodbye
You took everything from me, my heart, my soul, my pride
And left me with nothing, but tears in my eyesthe last drops of hope dried in my chest
As I realized you were gone, and I had failed the test
You were the reason for my smile, my joy, my life
And now I have nothing, but pain and strifethe last drops of love faded in my mind
As I tried to forget you, and leave you behind
You were the one for me, my dream, my fate
And now I have nothing, but anger and hatethe last drops of me crumbled in your hands
As you broke me into pieces, and scattered me in the sands
You were my everything, my all, my whole
And now I have nothing, but a broken soul

Empty shells
Empty shells on the shore
Remind me of the days before
When we were young and free
And filled with joy and gleeEmpty shells in my hand
Remind me of the times we planned
To travel the world and see
All the wonders that could beEmpty shells in my heart
Remind me of how we fell apart
When we grew old and cold
And lost our dreams and goalsEmpty shells in my mind
Remind me of what I left behind
When I chose to walk away
And face a lonely day
-
Like fading rays
Like fading rays of the setting sun
You left me in the dark, alone and undone
You were the light of my life, the warmth of my soul
But you slipped away from me, leaving a gaping holeI still remember the days we spent together
Laughing and loving, promising forever
But now those memories are all that remain
A bitter reminder of what I can’t regainI wonder if you ever think of me
Or if you have moved on, happy and free
I wish I could see you one more time
To tell you how much I miss you, how much you were mineBut I know that’s just a hopeless dream
A fantasy that can never be
So I’ll just keep you in my heart
Like fading rays that never part

Today is broken, so I will cry
Today is broken, so I will cry,
A solitary tear, a river wide,
A sorrow’s depth, a sky’s height,
A fragile soul, a world’s weight.
The morning dawned, a false promise made,
A lie that mocked, a truth betrayed,
The sun rose high, a fiery blade,
That cut through dreams, a night’s disguise.
Yesterday’s memories, a faded hue,
A past that taunts, a present Blue,
Regrets and what-ifs, they crowd the mind,
A chorus chanting, a melody unkind.
Tomorrow looms, an uncertain guest,
A shadow dancing, a future unblessed,
The wind howls warnings, a storm’s portent,
A darkness gathering, a tempest’s consent.
Today is broken, so I will cry,
A lonely figure, against the sky,
A single drop, a deluge vast,
A sorrow’s ocean, forever fast.
The stars above, a distant throng,
A celestial choir, a heavenly song,
They sing of hope, a gentle breeze,
That whispers secrets, a symphony of ease.
But here on earth, a different tune,
A discordant beat, a funeral march boon,
The trees stand still, their leaves rustle sighs,
As nature mourns, a requiem replies.
Today is broken, so I will cry,
A fragile vessel, a sea of sighs,
A shattered dream, a world awry,
A solo voice, a universe denied.
Yet in the midst, a glimmer shines,
A ray of light, a beacon divine,
A chance to mend, a second chance,
A new beginning, a life to enhance.
Today is broken, but tomorrow waits,
A clean slate, a canvas unfurls,
A brush of hope, a palette bright,
A masterpiece, a new day’s delight.
So let the tears fall, let the heart weep,
For in the sorrow, a lesson keep,
That life’s a journey, twists and turns,
But strength and courage, our spirits learn.
Today is broken, so I will cry,
But with each tear, a wisdom nigh,
That though the world may shatter and fade,
Our inner strength, a rainbow’s shade.

A Deeper Pain Penalized
The pain of loss is deep,
But there is a deeper pain,
A pain that comes from knowing,
That you could have prevented it.The pain of regret is like a cancer,
It eats away at your soul,
And it never goes away,
No matter how hard you try to forget. So if you are ever faced with a choice,
Choose the path that will cause you the least pain,
Because the pain of regret is a deeper pain,
And it is a pain that is never penalized.

Life’s Literature
Lives are like literature,
Long and lustrous, light and littered,
Laden with lessons, love, and laughter,
Lived through learning, loss, and thereafter.
Lines of longing, love, and lore,
Lay the foundation of life’s literature.
Leaving legacies that last forevermore,
Life’s literature is a treasure to procure.

Fragments of Memories
I see your face, I hear your voice, But you are not here, not in this place. A shadow of your former self, A ghost of what once was, a lost love.
I try to reach out, to touch your hand, But my fingers pass right through your skin. I try to speak, to call your name, But my voice is lost in the wind.
I am left with only fragments, Of memories that are now all but gone. A smile, a laugh, a touch, a kiss, All that remains of what once was.

The Silent Room
The empty bed lies cold and bare,
No one to sleep, no one to share.
The room is quiet, the air is still,
The silence echoes, with every chill. It’s hard to bear, this empty space,
The memories gone, without a trace.
The laughter and love, now just a dream,
A distant echo, or so it seems. But in the darkness, there is a spark,
A glimmer of hope, a tiny remark.
For in the silence, we find our strength,
To carry on, and go to great lengths. To fill the room, with new memories,
And find the joy, in life’s discoveries.
For though the bed may be empty now,
The future holds promise, and we’ll find how.

Tears of the Soul
Tears of the Soul
Tears of the soul, like rivers, flow,
From depths unseen, where sorrows grow,
A silent language, unspoken words,
The heart’s lament, in pain, it’s heard.Through vibrant hues, emotions pour,
A canvas painted, feelings soar,
In every stroke, a story told,
Of love and loss, and dreams untold.

Melancholy Memories
Melancholy Memories
In the stillness of the night,
I hear whispers from the past,
Reminding me of moments bright,
That didn’t forever last.Memories of love and laughter,
Now filled with sorrow and pain,
Moments that were once the master,
Are now lost and never to regain. With every breath I take,
Comes a longing for what’s gone,
But all that’s left is heartache,
And a sad, melancholy song.

A Tender Sorrow
A Tender Sorrow
A tender sorrow, a gentle ache
A feeling that lingers, with each breath we take
It’s the memory of love, that we hold so dear
A precious treasure, that we can’t help but revereIt’s the longing for a touch, that we’ll never feel again
A yearning deep within us, that we cannot contain
It’s the whisper of a voice, that we’ll never hear
A loss so profound, that it fills us with fearBut amidst the pain, there’s a beauty that shines
A reminder of the love, that once was so divine
It’s the light that guides us, through the darkest of days
A tender sorrow, that helps us find our wayFor though the heart may ache, and the tears may flow
The love that we shared, will never truly go
It will live on forever, in the memories we keep
A tender sorrow, that soothes us as we weep

Nature’s Lament
Nature’s Lament
The trees are weeping, the rivers dry,
The winds are still, the creatures sigh,
Nature’s lament echoes through the land,
A mournful dirge, a funeral band. We’ve taken so much, and given so little,
Our greed and ignorance, an endless riddle,
Nature’s pain, our fate’s acquittal.

Acts of Violence
Acts of violence, a heartless deed
Leaving behind those who grieve
A life cut short, a heart in pain
A tragic loss, nothing to gainA world shattered, a community mourns
As the cycle of violence sadly returns
The scars run deep, they never heal
A reminder of the hate we cannot conceal

The Sands of Time’s Untold Secrets
In the desert far and wide
The sands of time doth hide
Secrets ancient, secrets old
Storied tales yet to be told
As the sun beats down its rays
The sand dunes shift and sway
Whispering secrets in the wind
Carried from a time that’s been
Words that echo through the ages
Tales that stir the soul’s deep pages
Of love and loss, of joy and pain
And secrets lost, yet found again
So come, my friend, and take the leap
Into this world of secrets deep
Let the sands of time reveal
The stories that they’ve yet to seal.

The Dichotomy of Pleasure and Pain
The Dichotomy of Pleasure and Pain is a concept that is deeply ingrained in the human experience. It speaks to the idea that pleasure and pain are often two sides of the same coin, that one cannot exist without the other. It is this dichotomy that has inspired poets, writers, and artists throughout the ages to explore the intricacies of the human psyche.
In this poem I attempt to capture the essence of this dichotomy, to explore the ways in which pleasure and pain are inexorably linked. From the joys of love to the sorrows of loss, from the ecstasy of triumph to the agony of defeat, every moment of our lives is defined by this delicate balance.
As I sit here and ponder,
The Dichotomy of Pleasure and Pain,
My mind drifts off and wonders,
If both are just parts of one game.
Pleasure lures me with its sweet taste,
And I’m caught in its warm embrace,
But Pain awaits, just round the bend,
Ready to strike me once again.
Oh! How glorious it feels,
To be on cloud nine and see,
But the happiness that I seal,
Makes my heart more vulnerable at its fee.
Pleasure and Pain, like twins,
Entangle me in their embrace,
So long as one exists,
The other also has a place.
In the end, we must trust,
That balance will be found,
And that we will cherish and adjust,
When either pleasure or pain abounds.

Write to Inspire Poem
Write to Inspire Poem
Write to inspire, to light a fire,
To lift others up, take them higher.
Put words on paper, let them flow,
Watch as inspiration begins to grow.
Write of love, of hope, of dreams,
Of the world and all its themes.
Write of pain and of loss,
Of bravery and paying the cost.
Write for yourself, but also for others,
To unite us all, like sisters and brothers.
Write to share your story and your heart,
And watch as the world begins to start.

Imprisonment in the dark
Imprisonment in the dark
I’m trapped in a cell with no windows or light
The walls are so thick that I can’t hear a sound
I don’t know how long I’ve been here or why
I only know that I’m alone and afraidI try to remember the faces of my loved ones
But they fade away like shadows in the night
I wonder if they miss me or if they think I’m dead
I wish I could see them or hear their voiceI dream of the sun and the sky and the stars
But they seem so far away and out of reach
I feel like I’m losing my mind and my soul
I wonder if there’s any hope or escapeI pray to God or whoever might listen
But I don’t get any answer or sign
I don’t know if I’m alive or dead
I only know that I’m imprisoned in the dark.

I can’t take the pain
I can’t take the pain
Of living without you
Of missing your smile
Of losing your touchI can’t take the pain
Of facing the world alone
Of hiding my tears
Of faking my strengthI can’t take the pain
Of knowing you’re gone
Of remembering our past
Of regretting our endI can’t take the pain
Of hoping for a miracle
Of wishing for a change
Of dreaming of you.

Ex-Soulmate
Ex-Soulmate
An ex-soulmate, a story so sad,
A once-shared soul, now left feeling bad.
An exquisite existence, now ended and gone,
An ex-soulmate, a love that’s withdrawn.A broken bond, a heart that’s hurt,
A connection cut, now left in the dirt.
An ex-soulmate, a love that’s lost,
A lesson learned, at such a cost.© VishalDutia

Love and Loss
Love and Loss surrealistic
Love and loss, two sides of a coin
One brings joy, the other tears
Love can lift you to the stars
Loss can leave you broken, in despairLove is a flame that burns so bright
Loss is the shadow that dims its light
But even in the depths of pain
Love can shine, and help you rise againFor love and loss, though opposite in kind
Are both a part of the human mind
And though we may stumble and fall
Love and hope can conquer all

Realization of your absence
The silence is deafening,
As I sit here all alone,
My heart feels heavy,
With the weight of the unknown. The memories flood my mind,
Of all the times we shared,
But now you’re gone,
And my soul feels bared. The laughter and the love,
Are now just echoes in my head,
And as I face the truth,
I feel a sense of dread. For you were my world,
My reason to exist,
And now that you’re gone,
I can’t help but feel missed.But I know I must move on,
Though it may be hard to do,
For I’ll always cherish the time,
That I spent with you.

Heartsore

Broken pieces, hard to contain.Memories haunt like a chain,
Emptiness, a constant refrain,
Heartsore, a feeling hard to explain.

The Realization of Your Absence
The Realization of Your Absence
In every corner of my room,
I see the remnants of our love in bloom.
But now you’re gone, and I’m alone,
The emptiness I feel has grown.I wander through the streets we walked,
Remembering every moment we talked.
But now the silence is deafening,
Without you, life is so uninteresting.Though memories of you still remain,
The pain of your absence is hard to contain.
I realize now how much I need you,
Without you, my world is so askew.

The Love that Slipped Away
The Love that Slipped Away
The love that slipped away, it haunts my heart,
A bittersweet memory that tears me apart,
A love that was once so pure and true,
Now gone forever, leaving me feeling blue.We laughed, we cried, we shared it all,
But somehow, we stumbled and took a fall,
Our love was like a rose in bloom,
But now it’s withered, like a heart in gloom.I close my eyes and see your face,
And wonder if time could ever replace,
The love that we once held so dear,
Now lost forever, like a distant sphere.I reach out to touch, but you’re not there,
Our love is a memory beyond repair,
The love that slipped away, it’s hard to bear,
But life goes on, despite the despair. The stars still shine, the sun still rises,
But the love that slipped away, it still surprises,
How something so real could fade away,
Leaving us alone, to find a new way.

Heartbreak in the Night
Heartbreak in the Night
In the quiet of the night,
I lay alone, thoughts take flight,
Memories of love so bright,
Now shattered in the moonlight.Tears fall like raindrops from above,
As I mourn a lost, broken love,
My heart aches, I can’t deny,
Heartbreak in the night, I cry.Loneliness creeps in like a thief,
Stealing my joy and leaving grief,
Oh, how I wish for the light,
To chase away heartbreak in the night.

Betrayal and Regret
Betrayal and Regret
Betrayal stings, it cuts like a knife,
Leaving us lost in a sea of strife,
Regret sets in, we wish we knew,
What we could’ve done to be true.Memories haunt us, like a ghost,
We hold on tight, but it’s all lost,
Betrayal and regret, a bitter pill,
That we swallow deep, against our will.

Memories in Sepia and Rose Color Fade
Memories in Sepia and Rose Color Fade
Memories in sepia and rose color fade,
Fading like the colors of a dying day,
The moments we cherished, now just a shade,
Of what they once were, now slipping away. The laughter we shared, the tears we shed,
The love we felt, now just a memory,
The moments we thought would never end,
Now just a distant melody. In sepia and rose, the memories remain,
A reminder of a time that once was,
A time when love and joy were not in vain,
But now just a memory lost. The colors may fade, but the feelings remain,
A love that still burns, though the flame is dim,
And though we may never feel the same,
The memories will forever stay within.

Loss and Grief
Loss and Grief
Loss and grief, a burden we all bear,
A pain so deep it rends the heart apart,
A journey we must take, though fraught with despair. The memories we cling to, so rare,
A bittersweet reminder of what we depart,
Loss and grief, a burden we all bear. The tears we shed, the soul laid bare,
As we face the reality of our loved one’s depart,
A journey we must take, though fraught with despair.Yet in the midst of our deepest snare,
We find comfort in the love we impart,
Loss and grief, a burden we all bear. With time, the wounds may slowly repair,
But the void remains, a constant part,
A journey we must take, though fraught with despair. So let us cherish the moments we share,
And keep alive the memories in our heart,
Loss and grief, a burden we all bear,
A journey we must take, though fraught with despair.

Love and Heartbreak
Love and Heartbreak
Love and heartbreak, two sides of one coin,
A dance of joy and sorrow intertwined,
A fragile balance, easily undone. In love’s embrace, our hearts are buoyant,
Yet when it fades, we’re left behind,
Love and heartbreak, two sides of one coin. The pain of loss, so sharp and poignant,
A wound that lingers, hard to unwind,
A fragile balance, easily undone. But still we seek the love that’s poignant,
With hope that this time, it will be kind,
Love and heartbreak, two sides of one coin. For love is worth the risk and disappointment,
And heartbreak is the price we pay in kind,
A fragile balance, easily undone. So let us cherish every love we’ve coined,
And face heartbreak with an open mind,
Love and heartbreak, two sides of one coin,
A fragile balance, easily undone.

It’s Difficult to Say Goodbye, Mom
Describe the last difficult “goodbye” you said.
VIshal DutiaIt’s Difficult to Say Goodbye, Mom
It’s difficult to say goodbye, Mom,
When you’ve been our guiding light,
Your love has been our anchor,
Through the darkest of nights. You’ve taught us to be strong,
And to always hold our heads high,
But saying goodbye to you, Mom,
Feels like we’re saying goodbye to the sky.

The Harsh Reality of War
The Harsh Reality of War
Beneath the calmness of blue skies,
Lies the blood-soaked earth with cries.
Of mothers, children, and brave hearts,
Lost to war’s endless, hateful arts.
Tears shed for the ultimate price,
Of peace that never came to suffice.

Time and its fleeting nature
Time and its fleeting nature
Time and its fleeting nature, it slips away,
Like sand through our fingers, day by day,
It’s a precious gift, yet we take it for granted,
And we forget that its passing can never be recanted.Time and its fleeting nature, it’s a paradox,
A constant reminder of life’s ticking clocks,
It’s both a blessing and a curse,
A source of joy and a source of remorse.Time reminds us of what we’ve lost,
Of moments we’ve cherished and what it’s cost,
It shows us what we could’ve done,
And what we can still do before time’s run.Time and its fleeting nature, it’s a mystery,
A force that’s both powerful and scary,
It’s a reminder that life is not forever,
And that we must make the most of each endeavor. So let us cherish every moment we have,
And make memories that we’ll always have,
Let us make the most of every single day,
Before time and its fleeting nature take us away.

The Cost of Conflict
The Cost of Conflict
Men’s ambitions and egos clash,
Laying waste to land and ash.

Families left without a token.
The price of war, a heavy toll,
Laid bare for all to see, unroll.

Loss and grief
Loss and grief
Loss and grief, a heavy weight,
A burden that we all must take,
A pain that never seems to fade,
A wound that never seems to be saved. The loss of a loved one, a friend so true,
A feeling of emptiness, a feeling so blue,
The tears that flow, the heart that aches,
A pain that just never seems to break. The memories flood, the laughter and joy,
The moments shared, oh so coy,
The pain of missing, the pain so deep,
A loss felt, a loss to keep. The grief that follows, a storm so strong,
A force that lasts, a force so long,
The sadness felt, the tears that flow,
A pain that just never seems to go.The hope that someday, the pain will ease,
The chance to smile, the chance to seize,
The memories cherished, forever to keep,
A love that lasts, a love so deep. The loss and grief, a journey to take,
A path that we all must make,
The memories cherished, forever to hold,
A love that lasts, a love so bold.Loss and grief, a heavy weight,
A burden that we all must take,
But with time, the pain will ease,
And the memories will bring a sense of peace.

Longing for Lost Love
Longing for Lost Love
Version 1
Longing for lost love, my heart doth ache, For memories of you, I cannot shake, Your smile, your touch, your gentle ways, Haunt me still, through endless days.
I miss your voice, your tender embrace, The warmth of your love, your sweet embrace, Your laughter, your tears, your every breath, The joy and pain of our love, till death.
Oh, how I long to hold you near, To whisper words of love in your ear, To kiss your lips, and feel your heart, And never, ever be apart.
But fate has dealt a cruel blow, And now, alone, I must go, Through life without your love to guide, My heart forever torn inside.
Yet still, I cling to memories past, And cherish every moment that did last, For in my heart, you’ll always be, The one who set my spirit free.
So I’ll keep longing for lost love, And pray to the heavens above, That someday, somehow, we’ll meet again, And our love will blossom once more, amen.
Version 2
Longing for lost love, a heavy burden to bear, Memories of happier times, still so vivid and clear, Heartache that never fades, a pain that lingers on, The hurt and sorrow of a love that’s come and gone.
The mind replays every moment, every kiss and embrace, Wondering where it all went wrong, what led to this painful place, Questions without answers, regrets that never cease, A love that was once so strong, now just a distant peace.
Days turn into weeks, and weeks into years, The heart still aching, shedding countless tears, Missing that familiar touch, the warmth of loving arms, A love that seemed unbreakable, now lost and gone.
Longing for lost love, a lonely and bitter plight, Wishing to turn back time, to make things right, But time marches on, and the love we once knew, Is but a distant memory, a dream that never came true.
So we hold onto the memories, the love that once was, And hope that someday, somehow, we’ll find love again because, Though lost love may cause pain, it also teaches us to grow, To cherish the love we have, and to let our hearts know.
That though we may long for lost love, it’s the love we have now, That brings joy to our hearts, and to our lives it will endow.
