Disregard her words,
For even in his dreams,
She deceives.

Don’t Fake It Till You Make It: Authenticity Wins
Don’t Fake It Till You Make It: Authenticity Wins
Don’t fake it till you make it, that’s what they say,
But authenticity is key, in every way,
It’s not about pretending, or putting on a show,
It’s about being yourself, and letting your true colors glow.In a world of facades, and false personas,
It’s the genuine article, that will truly own us,
So don’t hide behind a mask, or put on a disguise,
The real you is what the world needs, so let it rise.Embrace your quirks, your flaws, your uniqueness,
For that’s what makes you special, what makes you priceless,
And in the end, it’s authenticity that wins,
So be true to yourself, and let your light begin.authenticity, don’t, facades, fake, fake it, false personas, flaws, genuine, light, make, mask, poem, poems, Poetry, pretending, quirks, till, true colors, uniqueness, wins

The Mirror Lies
The Mirror Lies
I look at the mirror and see a face
That does not reflect who I am inside
A mask of perfection that hides the trace
Of all the flaws and scars I try to hideThe mirror tells me what I want to hear
That I am beautiful, smart and strong
But deep inside I know it’s insincere
A lie that I have believed for too longThe mirror lies to me and to the world
It shows a version of me that’s not real
A false image that I have carefully curled
To avoid the pain and fear that I feelBut I can’t live in this illusion forever
I have to face the truth and break the spell
The mirror lies but I can be clever
And find the beauty in myself as well.

My Mask
I put it on, everyday.
I tried not to make mistakes.
Even though it’s full of cracks,
I still sit up and put on my act.
And though no one ever wants to ask,
I still get up.
And put on My Mask.

Living as an Act
What do you do,
when your entire life
has been an act?
A terrible mask,
glued to your face,
suffocating you
The mask shows a smile,
while underneath,
You crumble
But that’s okay,
I guess,
as long as you’re happy,
everything is fine, right?
