Like fading rays of the setting sun
You left me in the dark, alone and undone
You were the light of my life, the warmth of my soul
But you slipped away from me, leaving a gaping hole

I still remember the days we spent together
Laughing and loving, promising forever
But now those memories are all that remain
A bitter reminder of what I can’t regain

I wonder if you ever think of me
Or if you have moved on, happy and free
I wish I could see you one more time
To tell you how much I miss you, how much you were mine

But I know that’s just a hopeless dream
A fantasy that can never be

Let me let you go, my love,
Like a dove released to the skies above.
Though it pains me so, to set you free,
I know it’s the best for you and me.

Our love was strong, it burned so bright,
But now it’s time to take flight.
To follow our dreams, and find our way,
Separate paths, we must take today.

I’ll cherish the memories, we’ve made together,
In my heart, they’ll stay forever.
But it’s time to move on, to let you be,
To find your own path, and set you free.

I think of me and you, and the love we share,
The connection we have, it’s beyond compare.
Reflections of memories, they flood my mind,
Emotions and feelings, they’re hard to unwind.

Intimacy and togetherness, they’re what we crave,
But separation and distance, they’re what we brave.
Longing and hope, they’re what we hold,
For a future together, that’s worth more than gold.

Unable to reach you, no matter how I try,
The distance between us, it makes me cry,
Our connection severed, like a frayed wire,

The Sadness of Separation

The sadness of separation,
We feel it deep within,
When we must part from those we love,
And bid them farewell again.

The tears we shed, the pain we feel,
As distance grows between,
The ache that grips our hearts and souls,
A sadness so extreme.

We reminisce of times gone by,
Of moments shared in glee,
But now we face a world apart,
And loneliness we see.

Yet hope remains, a flicker bright,
That love will find a way,
To bridge the gap and bring us close,
And end this long delay.

So we hold onto memories,
Of love that once was near,
And pray for strength to face each day,
Until our hearts can cheer.

For though we feel the sadness now,
And tears may often flow,
We know that love can conquer all,
And bring us back to home.
