Your tones warm and embracing
Your words comforting and appeasing
Your presence kind and releasing
Thank you, for listening
Your ear always gives and never takes
You hear me, exhausted and heartbroken yet you care
This never ending weight forever in my heart you spare
Thank you, for listening
Your help, so quietly sustaining
Your understanding, void of feigning
Your love I find so wondrously sustaining
Thank you, for listening

A Letter to the Forgotten
To those who have been forgotten,
To those who have been cast aside,
To those who have been left behind,
This letter is for you.I know that you feel alone,
I know that you feel lost,
I know that you feel forgotten,
But I want you to know that you are not.You are loved,
You are important,
You are worthy,
And you are not alone.I know that it is hard to believe,
When the world seems to have forgotten you,
But I want you to know that I see you.I see your pain,
I see your hurt,
I see your loneliness,
And I want you to know that I care.I am here for you,
I will not forget you,
And I will never leave you.So please, do not give up hope,
Do not give in to the darkness,
Do not let the world forget you.I am here for you,
And I will never forget you.

O I love this
O I love this,
The way the sun shines through your hair,
The way your eyes light up when you smile,
The way your laugh makes me feel alive.O I love this,
The way you hold me close at night,
The way you make me feel safe and warm,
The way you know just how to make me laugh.O I love this,
The way you challenge me to be better,
The way you support me in all that I do,
The way you love me unconditionally.O I love this,
The way you are my best friend,
My lover, my soulmate,
The person I want to spend the rest of my life with.I love you more than words can say,
And I will love you forever.

My Brain Hates Everyone, Except You
My brain is horrible today, it hates everyone,
It’s hard to find positivity, when everything is undone.
But then I look at you, and all the darkness fades away,
You’re the light in my life, that makes me want to stay.
My mental health is a rollercoaster, it’s hard to understand,
But you’re always there, to lend a helping hand.
You support me through the tough times, and celebrate the good,
You’re the one I turn to, whenever I’m misunderstood.
My brain hates everyone, except you,
You’re the one who makes everything feel brand new.
I’m grateful for your love, and all the things you do,
I promise to always be there, and love you through and through.

Healing Wounds
Healing Wounds
The scars of molestation run deep
A wound that cuts through the soul
Leaving behind a lifetime of pain
That’s hard to erase or controlThe memories linger like a curse
Haunting every waking hour
A constant reminder of the hurt
That strips away all powerBut healing can come in small steps
With love and support from the heart
A gentle touch, a listening ear
Can help the broken parts startTo mend and find a way to live
Without the weight of shame and fear
To reclaim the life that was taken
And let hope and joy reappearSo let us stand together
And speak out against this crime
Let us be the voice of healing
And help the wounded learn to thrive

The Art of Perspective
The Art of Perspective
Life is an art, a masterpiece divine
With perspectives vast, diverse and fine
Contagious they are, spreading like fire
My fear is losing mine, in envy’s desireBeauty is in the eye, of the beholder they say
Perspective displayed, in a unique way
Words inherit meaning, in every hue and shade
Patience burns within, a raging flame unslayedA pat on the shoulder, eases the pain we bear
A simple gesture, showing someone you care
Life is an art, a canvas we paint
With perspectives unique, no two the same.

How to Test Love?
How to Test Love?
Testing love, an age-old question,
Loved and pondered by generations.
Is it in words or silent actions,
That we truly gauge love’s passions?
Is it in the grand gestures, the deeds so sublime,
Or in the little things done time after time?
Perhaps it’s in the way they look at you,
With eyes so tender, full of love so true.
Testing love, it’s a tricky affair,
With no surefire way to make it clear.
Yet if it’s genuine, it’ll shine through,
In the way they understand and love you.
It’s in the way they listen and hear,
And wipe away each and every tear.
It’s in the support they offer each day,
And in the way they never stray away.
So test love not by superficial means,
But look deep within, where true love gleams.
For if they love you with all their heart,
It’ll be soul-deep, from the very start.

The Sweetness of Delay
The Sweetness of Delay
Though we may wish for things to come our way,
Sometimes the delay can be sweet,
For it can give us time to reflect and pray,
And see the things that we can meet.It can be hard to wait for something long,
But it can also be a blessing,
For it can give us time to hear a song,
And find out what we are missing. The delay can give us time to be still,
And to appreciate the things we have,
It can show us secrets that we can’t see until,
The moment that we are glad. The sweetness of delay can be found,
In the moments that we take,
For it can give us joy that abounds,
And a life that we can make.Abounds, acceptance, adventure, appreciate, blessing, change, compassion, connection, Contentment, Delay, discover, empathy, explore, faith, Find, Forgiveness, found, Glad, gratitude, growth, happiness, hard, hear, hope, joy, kindness, Learn, life, love, make, mind, moment, new, open, opportunity, patience, peace, perspective, Poetry, Possibilities, pray, reflect, Renew, renewal, secrets, song, still, strength, support, Sweetness, take, things, Time, Understanding, wait, Wish

The Complexity of Mental Illness
Mental illness is a complex and often misunderstood topic. Many people suffer in silence, facing stigma and shame due to a lack of understanding. The symptoms and struggles of mental illness can create a tangled web of challenges that can be difficult to navigate.
Despite these difficulties, individuals with mental illness show incredible strength and resilience in their daily fight. However, solutions and treatments are needed to help support those who are struggling. A better understanding of mental illness and increased support can provide a glimmer of light in what can be a very dark journey.
It’s important to remember that mental illness is a journey that affects many people. By increasing our understanding and support, we can help those who are struggling to find the strength and resilience they need to overcome their challenges.
I just tried to frame a poem
What’s something most people don’t understand?
The complexity of mental illness, a struggle so grand.
Silent suffering, a hidden pain,
Stigma and shame, a loss of gain.Symptoms and struggles, a tangled web,
Support and understanding, a need to be fed.
Strength and resilience, a daily fight,
Solutions and treatments, a glimmer of light. What’s something most people don’t understand?
The complexity of mental illness, a journey so grand.

I Was Aching and Breaking
I Was Aching and Breaking
I was aching and breaking, all on my own,
Lost in the darkness, with nowhere to go.
My heart was heavy, my soul was worn,
And I didn’t know if I could carry on.I cried myself to sleep, night after night,
Wondering if I would ever see the light.
But then a glimmer, a spark of hope,
And suddenly, I found a way to cope.I reached out for help, and found a friend,
Who held my hand, and helped me mend.
They listened to my pain, my fears, my doubts,
And helped me find a way to climb back out.I was aching and breaking, but now I’m healing,
Finding new strength, and new meaning.
I’m not alone, I have a community,
And they’re here to support and uplift me.So if you’re aching and breaking, don’t be afraid,
To reach out for help, and find a new way.
For there’s hope and healing, on the other side,
And a community of love, waiting to provide.

I’m just so broken
I’m just so broken
I’m just so broken,
shattered like a mirror on the ground
trying to gather the pieces
but they slip through my fingers, all aroundI try to hide the pain
but it seeps through the cracks
and I’m left feeling exposed
like a wound that never mends or tracksBut in the darkness, I see a glimmer
a light that shines so bright
and I realize I’m not alone
that there’s hope in the midst of the nightSo I pick up the pieces, one by one
and I know I’ll make it through
because I’m not just broken,
I’m a survivor, and I’ll come out anew.

Desperate for Someone
Desperate for Someone
Desperate for someone to hold,
A touch to soothe the heart so cold,
A voice to break the silence bold,
To end the pain that can’t be told.Desperate for someone to care,
To listen and to always be there,
To help us through the dark despair,
And show us love beyond compare.

When Discussing Life’s Troubles
When Discussing Life’s Troubles
When discussing life’s troubles, it’s important to know,
That we all face struggles, and it’s okay to show,
Our vulnerability and ask for help,
To lighten the burden, and find hope in yelp.We can learn and grow, from each hardship we face,
And find the strength to stand back up with grace,
So let us lean on each other, through the ups and downs,
And find comfort in knowing, that love surrounds.

In My Arms
In My Arms
In my arms, you are safe and sound
No worries or fears, to keep you bound
I’ll hold you close, through the long, dark night
And chase away, all your troubles and frightsIn my arms, you’ll find your peace
A warm embrace, that will never cease
I’ll whisper words, of love and care
And remind you, that I’ll always be thereIn my arms, you can let go
Of all the pain, that’s brought you low
I’ll be your shelter, from the stormy weather
And help you heal, your wounds togetherFor in my arms, you’ll find your rest
A place of comfort, where you’re truly blessed
And though the world, may be hard and cruel
In my arms, you’ll always be my jewel.

The Insecurity Paradox: When Doubt Holds You Back
The Insecurity Paradox: When Doubt Holds You Back
Insecurity is a common experience for many people. It’s that nagging feeling of self-doubt and uncertainty that can hold you back from achieving your goals and living your best life. While a certain amount of self-awareness is healthy, when insecurity becomes a constant presence in your life, it can prevent you from taking risks, trying new things, and pursuing your dreams. This is the insecurity paradox – the very thing that is meant to protect you can also hold you back.
One of the primary ways that insecurity holds you back is through fear. When you’re insecure, you’re often afraid of failure, rejection, or criticism. You might feel like you’re not good enough, or that you don’t deserve success. These fears can paralyze you, making it difficult to take action or make decisions that could help you move forward.
Another way that insecurity can hold you back is through negative self-talk. When you’re insecure, you might constantly criticize yourself or focus on your weaknesses rather than your strengths. This can lead to feelings of inadequacy and a lack of confidence, which can make it difficult to pursue your goals.
So how can you break free from the insecurity paradox and move forward in your life? Here are a few strategies to consider:
Identify your triggers – What situations or people tend to trigger your feelings of insecurity? Once you understand your triggers, you can start to develop strategies to manage them.
Practice self-compassion – Instead of beating yourself up for your perceived flaws or mistakes, practice self-compassion. Treat yourself with kindness and understanding, just as you would a good friend.
Challenge negative thoughts – When you notice negative self-talk creeping in, challenge those thoughts with evidence to the contrary. For example, if you’re thinking “I’m not good enough,” challenge that thought with evidence of times when you have been successful.
Take small steps – Rather than trying to tackle your biggest goals all at once, break them down into smaller, more manageable steps. This can help you build confidence and momentum over time.
Seek support – Don’t be afraid to reach out to friends, family, or a therapist for support. Talking through your feelings and experiences with someone you trust can help you gain perspective and develop strategies for moving forward.
Ultimately, the insecurity paradox is about finding a balance between self-awareness and self-doubt. By developing strategies to manage your insecurity, you can break free from the negative cycle of self-doubt and move forward in your life with greater confidence and self-assurance.

An Ode to Parenthood
An Ode to Parenthood
A journey like no other, a role like no other,
A love that knows no bounds, a bond like no other.
From first steps to last, we guide and protect,
Our hearts forever linked, our souls forever connect.Through trials and triumphs, we stand by their side,
In each moment of their lives, our love abides.

Love and relationships
Love and relationships
Love and relationships, a bond so strong,
A connection that lasts forever long,
The warmth of a hug, the touch of a hand,
A love that can conquer all, that can withstand. It’s the trust that builds with each passing day,
The way they’ll listen to all you say,
The understanding that comes with time,
A love that feels like it’s one of a kind. It’s the laughter shared, the tears shed,
The way they’ll hold you when you’re in bed,
The comfort found in their embrace,
A love that makes the heart race. It’s the way they’ll stand by your side,
Through the ups and downs, the twists and tide,
The support they’ll give when you’re feeling low,
A love that will never let you go.It’s the memories made, the moments shared,
A love that shows how much you cared,
The way they’ll make you feel alive,
A love that helps you to thrive.Love and relationships, a bond so true,
A connection that’s built between just two,
A love that’s meant to last forever,
A bond that nothing can ever sever.

She’s lost her light
She’s Lost Her Light
She’s lost her light, the flame within,
And the darkness that surrounds is a constant din,
The weight of grief, too heavy to begin,
But with time and care, the healing can begin. The loss is great, and the pain so real,
The hopelessness, a burden she cannot conceal,
But with self-discovery, she can start to feel,
That her inner strength is a power that can heal.Resilience is a trait that she can nurture,
And self-care is a tool that can help her endure,
The journey towards healing is not obscure,
And her perseverance will make her feel secure.Self-love is a balm that can ease the pain,
And support from loved ones, a healing refrain,
The road ahead may not be easy, but there’s a gain,
In finding faith in the midst of this emotional rain. For though she’s lost her light, it’s not forever,
And with each step forward, she can begin to endeavor,
To find the hope and joy that will make her clever,
And shine once again, like a glowing ember.© VishalDutia
