In this complex system we call our own,
Change is the cry, a child’s plea, not unknown.
To be human-minded, honest, in this age,
One must wield a fist, yet wear a velvet glove.
For to live, to survive, in this world of strife,
We must balance strength with a touch of genteel life.
A fist, not for violence, but for standing our ground,
In a velvet glove, to be heard without a sound.
For if we become a dying breed, controlled,
Limited, by violence, don’t you see, it’s not the goal.
It’s this path of the fist in a velvet glove,
Or else we risk becoming enslaved, as if by a glove.
We must fight for change, but with a soft touch,
To navigate this world, and not get caught in its snutch.
For in the velvet glove, our power is discreet,
A silent strength that cannot be so easily beat.
So let us be the change we wish to see,
With a fist in a velvet glove, humanity’s key.
To avoid the slavery of our own making,
We must learn to fight, with a gentle heart’s taking.

Nocturnal Strife
In the dead of night, a young boy takes flight, A vampiric visage, a sinister sight. When the world’s asleep, and darkness reigns, He haunts the streets, igniting his pains.
His parents’ slumber, a veil to his crime, Their child transformed, a creature of time. A thirst for chaos, a hunger profound, In the cover of night, his victims are found.
At clubs and parties, where merriment chimes, He slashes and carves, in the name of his crimes. A twisted desire, a heart turned to coal, Leaving behind a trail of horror untold.
But within his soul, a conflict doth brew, Between light and darkness, the false and the true. A vampire slasher, a creature of strife, Trapped in the chaos of his double-edged life.
And like Peter Tosh, the rebel of old, A story untold, a truth to be bold. A struggle within, a fight to be free, From the darkness that binds, and the path he can’t see.
For the vampire slasher, in shadows he roams, A young boy lost in his twisted psychone. But redemption’s embrace, a glimmer of hope, May guide him back to the light on his scope.

Manipur’s Bleeding Heart
Bloodstains mark the soil of Manipur,
Violence reigns in its wake,
Tears fall from mothers’ eyes,
As loved ones perish in hate.
Guns echo through the hills,
Silencing peaceful thrills,
Broken dreams and shattered hopes,
Haunt the hearts of Manipur’s folks.
Anger simmers in veins,
Despair grips every train,
Youth stand against oppression,
Demanding justice’s reflection.
Peace must return to these lands,
End the cycle of strife,
Healing begins with understanding,
Love conquers hate’s vice-like grip.
May the wounded find solace,
May the lost be rediscovered grace,
May Manipur rise again,
Stronger than before.

Silenced by Rape: A Survivor’s Journey to Healing
Trust broken, emotions drowned in rain
He promised love, but only brought pain
His touch barely a medicine to heal
His intentions unclear, filled me with fearHe smelled me like a new animal
Reacting to his abnormality, I pushed away
But he silenced me with a bruised, chapped kiss
His hands roamed, corpulent body pressed against mineClaws like birds of prey, he pounced
Taking my bust with violent force
As if I was the last piece of bread on earth
He parted my legs and entered meCold blood ran through my veins
Mourning with élan, I was unable to protest
As he explored me with his tongue and lips
Playing me like a toy, ignoring my painBut I refuse to let this define me
I am more than the sum of my parts
I will not let his actions consume me
For I am a survivor, with a beating heartI will find my own strength to bear this alone
For I am cultured, civilized, and strong
And though life can be tragically beautiful
I will rise above it all, and carry on.

The Meaningless Words
Words that have no meaning,
Are like a bird without wings.
They flutter and fall,
And never make a call.Their sound is empty,
And their purpose is plenty.
To fill the silence,
With meaningless violence. But in the end, we find,
That words are not blind.
For even when they’re absurd,
They can still be heard.

Acts of Violence
Acts of violence, a heartless deed
Leaving behind those who grieve
A life cut short, a heart in pain
A tragic loss, nothing to gainA world shattered, a community mourns
As the cycle of violence sadly returns
The scars run deep, they never heal
A reminder of the hate we cannot conceal

Enough Is Enough
Enough Is Enough
Stop the violence, end the pain
Let’s make this world safe again
For every girl, every boy
For every person who deserves joyNo more fear, no more tears
No more living with constant fears
Of being attacked, of being hurt
Of feeling like we don’t deserveTo walk the streets, to live our lives
To be free from these awful crimes
We must stand up, we must unite
And say enough is enough, it’s time to fightWe’ll raise our voices, we’ll make them hear
We’ll never give up, we’ll never fear
We’ll work together, we’ll make a change
And create a world that’s safe and sane

The Benefits and Drawbacks of Remote Work
Remote Work
Remote work has grown significantly in popularity in the past decade, with technology advancements making it easier for businesses to offer work-from-home arrangements to their employees. While this undoubtedly has many benefits, it’s important to consider both the positives and the negatives before making the switch.
Benefits of Remote Work
The primary benefit of remote work is the flexibility it offers. Instead of having to commute to an office, employees can work from anywhere in the world, so long as they have a reliable internet connection. This can be especially beneficial for those with families who need more flexibility with their schedules, or for those who live in rural areas and need to avoid long commutes.
Another benefit of remote work is the potential for increased productivity. Since employees are not distracted by office chatter or their colleagues’ presence, they are better able to focus on their work tasks uninterrupted. In addition, without a commute, employees can use their travel time to focus on their work, which can enable them to complete tasks faster.
Drawbacks of Remote Work
While there are many benefits to remote work, there are also some drawbacks. One of the most significant drawbacks is the lack of physical presence in the office. This can lead to a sense of isolation, as employees may not have the same level of interaction with their colleagues or access to resources that are available in an office setting.
Another potential drawback is the lack of structure. Without a physical office environment and set working hours, employees may find it difficult to maintain their focus and productivity. Without regular face-to-face check-ins, it can be difficult to measure and manage performance or to foster collaboration.
Conclusion
Remote work can be a great option for businesses that are looking for more flexibility, but it’s important to consider the potential drawbacks before making the switch. With the right technology, policies, and resources in place, remote work can be an effective and productive option for businesses and employees alike.

The Harsh Reality of War
The Harsh Reality of War
Beneath the calmness of blue skies,
Lies the blood-soaked earth with cries.
Of mothers, children, and brave hearts,
Lost to war’s endless, hateful arts.
Tears shed for the ultimate price,
Of peace that never came to suffice.

Courage
Courage
It can be found
In unexpected moments
When someone rises
Up to meet the challenge
Either through actions
Or words
Or both
It can be someone
That stands up
Even when it’s hard
For what’s right
What we know deeply
In our hearts of hearts
Or someone that walks
Into danger to help
Or a healer helping the ill
Courage is everywhere
In adults and children
Around the world
There are those
That stand up
Speak out
Even when it’s difficult
Unpopular
They do it
At a time of turmoil
In the world
With pandemics
Wars
Unrest and violence
We need the courageous
More than ever
What are you??©VishalDutia
